In Praise of Salt Mine Salt

Ok friends, I’ve held back when it comes to this subject for a long time now, hoping the madness would peter out on its own. But alas, there seems to be no end in sight, so here goes:

Sea Salt. I’m not a great or even good scientist, but I work around some of the best, and I’m fairly certain that salt is salt. Sodium plus . . . something else. Is the fact that sea salt has been marinating in whale spittle and tourist pee supposed to mean something? I’m partially aware of some of the impurities my own offspring have left in the sea, and that alone makes me run-not-walk for some good ol’ Morton’s iodized salt mine salt.

Morton’s: 100% less whale spittle.
